How To Mute

1. Create a Muted role. Scroll down to Text Permissions and untick *Send Messages.

1. Under the Category Permissions (Category in which you don't want the muted user to be able to send messages), add a new permission for the Muted role. Deny the Muted role permission to Send Messages.

"Help! Mute is not working!!"

If your Channel Permissions aren't synced with Category Permissions, the Muted role won't be automatically added to Channel Permissions, the muted user will be able to chat.

Go into Channel Settings -> Channel Permissions of each channel within a category (Category in which you don't want the muted user to be able to send messages), and press Sync Now.
